I visited the incredibly impressive Ellers Farm Distillery this week, which is a multi-million pound start up, established in 2020 and aiming to distil, bottle and distribute one million bottles of craft vodka, gin and liqueurs this year. Built on Ellers Farm near Stamford Bridge, it will become part of a family of ground-breaking distilleries that have chosen North Yorkshire as their HQ. Steve, Tabatha and award-winning Master Distiller, Jamie, are key members of a top quality 9-strong team. I was delighted to help on the bottling line and to have the chance to sample some of their fabulous produce.
The site is nearing completion and people will soon be able to book a distillery tour and enjoy a taste of the Ellers Farm gin. The distillery puts sustainability at the heart of their ethos and has enlisted a master award-winning distiller for recipe creating. As a strong supporter of small and medium-sized businesses, I look forward to seeing Ellers Farm progress and begin exporting their Yorkshire spirits across the country and beyond.
