It was fantastic to speak to students from Easingwold Primary, Husthwaite Primary and Knayton CoE Primary Schools as part of UK Parliament Week - a global scheme to encourage democratic participation among young people.
I really enjoyed the range of questions, from ‘what made you want to become an MP’ to queries on how uncomfortable the green benches are!
It’s great to see young people so engaged with politics and when permitting, I’d encourage any schools in Thirsk and Malton who haven’t visited Parliament yet to book a trip. Please contact my office for more information: [email protected].
