I really hope that people across the country come to North Yorkshire for their holidays this summer. One such destination is Swaleside Country park near Thirsk which I visited during English Tourism which lasts from 22nd – 31st May.
Swaleside is one of many perfect North Yorkshire locations for a holiday home at any time of the year. It is extraordinarily beautiful and there are so many lovely walks, fishing, and pubs on its doorstep. As we come out of lockdown and, whilst there is still come uncertainty about foreign travel, I would urge anyone who wants a break to consider a holiday home, or one of the many hotels and B&Bs across Thirsk and Malton. You definitely won’t be disappointed, and you will get the traditional Yorkshire welcome.
Tourism has been one of the sectors most badly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic but, since May 17th,is now open again for groups of two households, with no restrictions after June 21st if the last stage of the government’s roadmap goes ahead as planned.
Billy Maguire, one of the company directors said “This has been a difficult year for the tourist industry, and we appreciate Mr Hollinrake’s support for the whole sector. We only took over this business in January after we went into the last lockdown, so it has not been without its challenges. We are delighted we are opening up again. We are making sure that everyone is kept safe and looking forward to the summer. North Yorkshire is the most beautiful of counties and we really hope that people will consider us when purchasing a holiday home. We are in easy reach of Thirsk, Ripon, Boroughbridge and Masham as well as the Yorkshire Dales, North York Moors and Yorkshire coastline so there is something here for everyone.”
