I was delighted to officially open The Private Hill, North Yorkshire’s newest and most luxurious glamping destination with the most stunning of views across the stunning North Yorkshire Wolds. The event was in aid of The Alzheimer’s Society, Living Well With Dementia Berwick (Royal Voluntary Service) and Berwick & District Friends of Dementia.
Altogether the event, which was attended by over 200 people, raised over £15,000 to be split between the three charities.
Ventures like The Private Hill are what make North Yorkshire great. It is innovative, luxurious and will attract a new raft of visitors to our region to enjoy its facilities. It is also perfect for weddings and large events with a difference. I congratulate the owner, Roddy Hamilton and am delighted to have supported two such good causes.
The Private Hill offers luxury boutique glamping in brand new innovative Geodesic Domes and it is the first of its kind in the North.
Organiser of The Forget Me Not Ball, Amelia Clark, said: ”We chose The Private Hill for our annual fundraising ball as we were blown away by the location and the stunning views. Being able to put our own touch on the marquee and moving away from a more traditional event in a hotel or conference facility elevated the event, giving it an added attraction to the guests. We also knew we were guaranteed quality, which is important when we are hosting guests who are kindly supporting a charity.”
Jane’s dome at The Private Hill is now also open – this is a larger dome that stands as the social hub at The Private Hill. Jane’s Dome also welcomes locals, walkers, cyclists and those passing for coffee and cake or a light meal, opening up farm life to be enjoyed by a wider audience.
