I was delighted to attend the Exhibition of Childhood Toys in St Michael's Church, Malton last week, excellently curated and organised by Helen Shaw. Money raised by the event will go towards the rebuilding fund for the part of the church wall.
The display of childhood toys was fascinating and I'm sure I wasn't the only one who took a trip down memory lane when looking round. Certain toys had some rather poignant stories behind them and it was great to chat about the toys with constituents. I'd like to thank Helen for all her hard work with this event and I will continue to support these local charitable events that are so worthwhile for our community.
