Following the community meeting on Saturday, along with Cllr Peter Wilkinson of Hambleton Council, Commissioner Zoe Metcalfe and Chief Inspector David Hunter, I am hopeful a letter for action for judicial review will be issued very shortly. I have also secured an adjournment debate tomorrow evening to continue to call on the Prime Minister and Home Secretary to suspend these plans and think again.
I have further meetings this week with Home Office, pressing for mitigations such as 24-7 policing, CCTV in the village along with other measures.
Constituents can watch the debate after the end of tomorrow's sitting in the Commons - timings can fluctuate due to the business of the House: https://www.parliamentlive.tv/Guide
