I've been in touch with the Post Office who have informed me there will be a short delay to the opening of the permanent branch, due to some unforeseen issues, including refurbishment of the premises and administrative matters which came to light after the original announcement. I have sought assurances that the postal provisions within the Black Swan will remain in place until the new PO is up and running - this has been confirmed. I understand the new opening is now set for September.
I understand this is frustrating news, but please be assured I will be in regular communications with the PO and the new operator over the coming weeks to ensure the best outcome for residents.
